The final sculpture in major veteran's tribute planned in central Kentucky has been unveiled.

Artist Rich Griendling told The News-Enterprise that he tried to capture a timeless quality for the sculpture of the civil service worker so that it wouldn't look dated in the years to come.

The work is the sixth and final sculpture that will be part of a memorial at Elizabethtown Nature Park honoring the branches of the military and civil service.

Rik Hawkins, who is a member of the Veterans Tribute committee, says the memorial will be dedicated later this year.

Hawkins says it will be "one of the premier tributes to veterans on the East coast."
