The Coronavirus pandemic hasn’t slowed down Kentucky Lottery sales. There were record sales in the just-ended fiscal year.

The Kentucky Lottery says sales totaled over $1.2 billion - $73.8 million dollars more than the previous record set last year.

$271.4 million went to the General Fund to pay for college scholarships, grants and education programs. $7.1 million in unclaimed prizes went to the KEES Reserve Fund.

Scratch-off tickets once again were the best sellers, finishing the year at $741.1 million.

The Kentucky Lottery adds that internet lottery sales showed significant growth, due in part, ti the ongoing pandemic.
