This resolution comes in response to recent “Red Flag” gun law proposals and gun control legislation that would violate rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
“I stand in opposition to any measure that would impede our constitutional rights,” Rudy said. “I hear from my constituents every single day, and they are rightfully angered by any proposal that would infringe upon their right to keep and bear arms. I share their frustration at these senseless proposals and will stand firm in support of our constitutional rights.”
Rudy is serving as floor manager in the absence of Majority Floor Leader John “Bam” Carney, who is currently recovering from an illness.
“Majority Floor Leader Bam Carney has been a staunch opponent of these proposals for his entire career,” Rudy added. “As the acting floor manager, I will do everything in my power to see to it that these misguided proposals do not move forward.”
