Kentucky's drug problem has gotten worse in the last year, according to a study released by the personal finance website Wallethub.
To determine which states have the biggest drug problems, WalletHub ranked the states in three overall categories: drug use and addiction; law enforcement; and drug health issues and rehab.
Kentucky is the state with the ninth highest rate of drug use.
Kentucky was seventh among states in opiod pain reliever prescriptions per capita.
The District of Columbia and Missouri are the states that ranked highest in drug abuse.
Minnesota and Iowa, are the states with the lowest rates of drug use.
