Lawanda Wade

Lawanda Frances Wade, 74, of Clarksville, TN transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on August 4, 2025. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, cherished friend, and follower of Christ.

Lawanda was born June 19, 1951 to Cecil Peck and Lettie Butler. She lived most of her life in Paducah, Kentucky. Lawanda was a graduate of Reidland High School and attended Paducah Beauty School. She drove a cab for Security Taxi for years and enjoyed interacting with all her travelers. She loved reading, poetry and music and took every chance she got to sing karaoke. She loved camping and fishing, dogs, and playing cards. Her deep love for her family and for God will be remembered by all.

She is survived by her beloved sons, Rick (Olivia) Lovvo of Lynnville, TN and Michael (Shanna) Lovvo of Clarksville, TN, as well as several grandchildren: Rodney Hicks of Clarksville, TN; Skylar Lovvo McCormick of Huntsville, AL; Sophia Lovvo of Chattanooga, TN; Jordan Lovvo of Clarksville, TN; and Julia Lovvo of Clarksville, TN. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Wade; her daughter, Christi Hicks; her parents; and her cherished in-laws, Pat and Mary Wade.

Funeral service will be held at Collier Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Kaler, KY.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th Street, Benton, KY 42025.
