Max Glisson

Max Edwin Glisson, 95 of Benton, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Calvert City Nursing & Rehabilitation.

He was born in Marshall County on February 27, 1929 to Willie Glisson and Sadie Holt Glisson. Max worked as an equipment operator at Calvert City Metal and Alloys. When he wasn't working, Max enjoyed cattle farming and deer hunting with his family.

Max is survived by one son, Jackie Glisson (Tina) of Benton; two grandchildren, James Glisson (Jessie) and Keisha Treas (Jamie); and one great granddaughter, Illyana Glisson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille Portis Glisson; one son, James Glisson; one brother, Paul Glisson; and two sisters, Mildred Cross and Lunell Crouse.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
