William A. Gillahan

Mr. William Allen Gillahan, 79, of Murray, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Baptist Health.

Bill was born on September 1, 1945 in Paducah, KY to the late Braxton and Frances McCloud Gillahan. He was a member of IUOE Local 181 and of Ohio Valley Baptist Church.  In addition, Bill was a lifetime member of the Freemasons and spent many years as a cattle farmer.  Mr. Gillahan was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Susie Edmonds and a grandson, Christman Lawson Dann, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 30 years, Mrs. Sharon Gillahan of Murray; three daughters, Tracy Dann (Lawson) of Orlando, FL, Trina Osburn (Jim) of Murray, Shara Metcalf (John) of Madisonville, KY; six grandchildren, Ellie Vaughn, Emerson Vaughn, Braxton Dann, Riley Dann, Jessica Webster, Lacey May, as well as, several great grandchildren.  Also, surviving are a special niece and nephew, Bethany Borders and Brandon Edmonds.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Ohio Valley Baptist Church in Ledbetter, KY.
