Doug Crass

Doug Crass, 77, of Paducah passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

Doug was a retired riverboat captain and U.S. Navy Veteran. He was also a member of Schneidman Road Baptist Church where he was very active in their renovation project. He enjoyed watching old western movies and Nascar.

Surviving are his two grandchildren, Matt (Sarah) Crass and Jason (Amanda) Hobbs; four great-grandchildren, Declan Crass, Bailee Crass, Landon Hobbs, and Trenton Hobbs; and several brothers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Crass; one son, Mark Crass; and his parents, Virgil and Ruby Crass.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Schneidman Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Greenwell officiating. Entombment will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to service hour on Wednesday at the church.
