Jeanette Wallace

Jeanette Wallace, 85, of Symsonia, Kentucky, gained her Heavenly reward on August 15, 2026.  She was born on June 16, 1941, in Paducah, Kentucky.

Jeanette was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who held many jobs over the years in retail, bookkeeping, and helping her husband Dan manage their home construction business.  Her greatest joy, however, was her family.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Jeanette was actively involved in WMU over the years and was a current member of West End Baptist Church.  She served roles as Sunday school teacher, youth and Vacation Bible School worker, and hosted many women’s Bible studies.  Jeanette had a true servant’s heart and was known for visiting those in the hospital and offering encouragement and love wherever she was needed.

Those who knew Jeanette would describe her as accepting, loving, forgiving, outgoing, and a true people person.  She cherished her family and especially loved spoiling her grandchildren (who all called her Doll).  She also found great joy tending to her flower gardens and creating a welcoming home for family and friends.

Jeanette will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous spirit, love for her family, and the countless ways she quietly served and cared for others.  Her legacy of love, forgiveness, and service will continue through all those whose lives she touched.

Jeannette is survived by two daughters, Regina (Don) Spicer of Paducah and Tina (Terry) Riley of Fancy Farm; three grandchildren, Tyson (Megg) Riley, Cole (Lauren) Spicer and Daly Spicer; two great-grandchildren, Graysen Riley and Carter Spicer; and a sister-in-law, Betty Darnell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Dan Wallace; her parents, Aaron and Beulah Darnall; six sisters, Ophie Darnall, Thelma Short, Mary Darnall, Lava Vaughn, Lorene Wallace, and Peggy Phelps; and five brothers, Aubrey Darnall, Kelly Darnall, Dallas Darnall, Pat Darnell, and Jerold Darnell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 21, 2026 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes with Rev. Micah Spicer officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am service time on Friday, August 21, 2026 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes.
