John W. Doughty, of Calvert City, Kentucky, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the age of 74.
He was born on April 4, 1951, in Calvert City, Kentucky, to the late Willard and Catherine Dodge Doughty.
After completing his education, John answered the call of duty and served with distinction in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, John returned to Calvert City, where he began his career as a welder and maintenance worker at CC Metals and Alloys. Outside of his professional endeavors, John was an active member of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church.
John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane Rogers Doughty; a daughter, Lori Moore, and her husband, Todd of West Paducah; two sons, John C. Doughty and his wife, Hope of Paducah and Robert Doughty of Paducah; five grandchildren, Dakota Box (Nickie), Dalton Box (Emily), Lane Box, Ava Doughty, and Kavin Doughty all of Paducah; three great-grandchildren, Damon Box, Marlowe Box and Wednesday Box; a sister, Shirley Kilby of Calvert City; two brothers, Willard Doughty Jr. of Calvert City, and Charlie Doughty of Possum Trot; his dog, Beau; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmie Doughty and Ronnie Doughty.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Martin and Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 1:00 pm on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
