Earl E. Sparks, a United States Army veteran, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Mercy Health Hospital in Paducah. At the time of his passing, he had reached the age of 73 years, 8 months and 14 days. He was the son of Gilbert Williams and Audrey Sparks Williams.

After graduation from Paducah Tilghman High School, he continued his education at West Kentucky Vocational School where he earned certification in Marketing/Sales along with several other certifications. He retired from Paducah Area Transit Company as a driver. 

Earl had a winning personality who will be remembered as a talker that never met a stranger. His nieces lovingly called him “Uncle Sticks”. His love of tinkering around with different things resulted in the nickname of “Mr. Fix It.” He had a passion for antique cars and collected both foreign and classic models.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Mark Williams; and his maternal grandparents, Alexander and Ethel Sparks.

Left behind to cherish sweet memories are his wife, Sharon Coleman Sparks, of Paducah, KY; two daughters, Alethea Coleman of Paducah, KY and Tyleesa Sparks of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Tiffani Wharton of Paducah, KY, Trevante Coleman of Odessa, TX, Kiya Coleman and Kamari Coleman, both of Bowling Green, KY; three Great Grandchildren, DeAsia Bradley, DeAeron Bradley, and DaMaya Bradley, all of Paducah, KY; two brothers, Michael Williams and Gregory Williams, both of St. Louis, MO; three sisters, Patrice Williams of Fontana, CA, Minister Helen (Orlando) Bryant, and Doris Hawkins, both of St. Louis, MO; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and in-laws Herbert Kneeland of Memphis, TN, Harold (Chellnecia) Coleman, Larry Coleman, Glenda Majors, and Anthony Coleman, all of Paducah, KY, and Gino Coleman of Marble Hill, MO.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at New Greater Love Church with Bishop LaRita Horton-Addison officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with Military Honors.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
