Mrs. Vinita Winters

Mrs. Vinita Winters, age 78, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
            She was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 9, 1947, to George and Alma Vinita Bell. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murray. Mrs. Winters was a homemaker and member of the Friendship Homemakers Club where she was homemaker of the year in 2023. She loved her flowers and fishing with Dan her husband at their cabin in Ontario, Canada. Mrs. Winters enjoyed watching her grandsons play football for Murray High, #10, and Marshall County, #55. In addition she loved to going to Cardinal Baseball Opening Day with friends and looking forward to Murray State Basketball.
            She was preceded in death by her parents.
            Vinita is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dan Winters of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Michael Winters and wife Janeen of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Leigh Ann Winters of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Curtis Winters, Allie Winters, and Colin Winters; as well as four great-grandchildren, Ella, Anistyn, Ava, and newborn Bodie Alan Winters.
            Private family services will be held.
