Mary Carrell, 84, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 6:25 am Friday, April 14, 2017 at Southgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, IL.
Mary was born on March 1, 1933 in Paris, TN to Yancy and Hilda Parrish. She retired after 43 years of employment as a Lab Technician with USEC, Inc. She was a lifetime member of Broadway United Methodist Church. Mary loved the outdoors, playing golf, spending time at their condominium in Daytona Beach, FL and cheering on the University of Kentucky Wildcat Basketball team.
Mrs. Carrell is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Don Carrell, of Paducah; her step son, Jeff Carrell and wife Lorie, of Ft. Wayne, IN; her brother, Ted Parrish, of Cottage Grove, TN; her grandchildren, Ashlyn Kippert and husband Chad, Justin Carrell and wife Jenni, all of Ft. Wayne, IN; her great grandchildren, Addyson and Sadie Kippert; several neices and nephews.
Mrs. Carrell was preceded in death by her parents, Yancy and Hilda Pentecost Parrish; her sisters, Sue Elliot and Pat Miller; her brother, Bud Parrish.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 noon Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah, with Rev. Jeff Carrell and Rev. Joe Beal officiating. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am-12:00 noon Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
