William Bryan “Billy” Hunt, 78, of Wickliffe, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Columbus, Georgia.
Billy graduated from Ballard Memorial High School in 1960 where he was an active member of the FFA. After graduating, he began his career in cattle and row crop farming which he continued for over 60 years. Billy was passionate about traveling to farm shows across the country and seeking antique farm equipment. He loved spending time on his farm and watching his cattle. Billy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet Louise Sykes Hunt; two daughters, Cara Lynn Hunt Mills of Wickliffe and Anissa Carol Hunt Wittic and husband Tony of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; two sisters, Mary Ann Wolter of Paducah and Georgie Lee Lang of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; one brother Bobby J. Hunt and wife Betty of Wickliffe; and four grandchildren, Colton Tremblay, Lilly Mills, Reese Wittic and Alyson Wittic.
He was preceded in death by his parents George William and Mary Ann Martin Hunt and two brothers, Phillip Hunt and George Martin Hunt.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe. Rev. Billy Freeman will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until service time of 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
