Betsy Turner, 82, of Bardwell, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Betsy had a passion for taking care of others and often sat with and cared for the elderly. She enjoyed the holidays, cooking for her family, quilting, and getting cards from her family. Betsy was a breast cancer survivor. She loved her grandkids and was known for being set in her ways.
Betsy is survived by one daughter, Julie Samples of Bardwell; one son, Clifton “Pete” Turner (Edwina) of Bardwell; two brothers, David Eckberg (Carol) of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Tom Eckberg (Peg) of Superior, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gerald Turner; two daughters, Rhonda Meredith, Liane Turner; three sons, Julio Turner, Glen Turner, David Turner; two sisters, Evelyn Benjamin, Helen Lehr; four brothers, Bill Eckberg, Bob Eckberg, Daniel Eckberg, Mark Eckberg.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bardwell Christian Church.
