Richard Taylor, age 74 of Paducah, formerly of St. Louis, MO passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 4:45 P.M. At the Metropolis Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, Illinois.
He was retired with 33 years of service as a semi-truck driver for Richard Greer Trucking, Incorporation in St. Louis. MO.
Richard had a passion for truck driving and eyeing other semi’s and trucks. You would often find him sitting and watching western movies, baseball and wrestling. He had several favorite past times such as fishing, working on cars, and eating.
He was born to and preceded in death by his parents, George Taylor and John-Margaret Taylor, two sisters, Georgette Taylor and Fannie Sue Hall.
He leaves to cherish to his memory: Two daughters; Lisa Bates, Memphis, TN; Elizabeth (Troy) Jackson of St. Louis, MO; Three sisters; Dorothy Taylor, Chicago, IL; Floestine (Nathaniel) Hall, Memphis, TN; Robbie Taylor of St. Louis,MO; Two brothers; John Taylor, St. Louis, MO and Charles Taylor of Detroit, MI; Two Grandsons; Jairus Bates, Memphis, TN; Travon Jackson, St. Louis, MO; Two Great-Grandchildren; A Special Niece;Teresa (Christopher) Hall-Franklin of Memphis, TN; Several nieces, nephews and cousins; Special Friend and Caregiver; Carol Arrington of Paducah,KY; Other Special Friends that were dear to his heart; Herman Sanders, Paducah, KY; Walt Fisher, Sonny, Rick, Rich and Carolyn Webb all of St. Louis, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, November 7, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Donna G. Hawkins officiating.
