Ruby Hammonds Dorris, 63, of Arlington, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Continue Care of Baptist Hospital.
Ruby was born November 22, 1955 in Bardwell to the late John Hammonds and Mildred Fisher Hammonds. She was of the Baptist faith. Ruby worked as a cook, a seamstress in a factory and with the mentally handicapped.
Ruby is survived by two sisters, Martha Sams of Arlington, Kaye Rideout and husband, Glen of Bardwell, along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Joy Dorris, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Bro. Larry Fraser officiating. Burial will follow the service at Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
