Mr. Donnie Birdsong, age 67, of Hardin, Kentucky died on Friday, May 1, 2020, at his home.
Donnie was born December 29, 1952 in Trigg County, Kentucky to the late Roy Birdsong and Velma Turner Birdsong. He was a retired mechanic with Parker Ford after 33 years and was of the Church of Christ faith. Donnie was a city council member for the city of Hardin, Kentucky for 25 years and was a volunteer fire fighter for Hardin for 7 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Diane Higgins and Kaye Wright; four brothers, Jim Birdsong, Bill Birdsong, F.M. Birdsong and Conray Birdsong.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Birdsong of Hardin, Kentucky they married July 10, 1971 in Calloway County, Kentucky; son, Danny Birdsong and wife Jonni of Hardin, Kentucky; two sisters, Vondia Colson of Washington and Dot Stroup of Benton, Kentucky; brother, Ronnie Dale Birdsong and wife Karen of Murray, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Chance Wesley Birdsong of Hardin, Kentucky and Skylar Kay Birdsong of Paducah, Kentucky; one great grandchild, Oliver Thomas Hayes of Paducah, Kentucky.
Private services for Donnie will be held at a late date.
