Mr. General A. Scillion, age 79 of Symsonia, KY., passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY. He was a veteran of the US Army and was retired from National Cash Register where he worked as a Field Engineer. Mr. Scillion was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.
Born Friday, March 8, 1935 in Marshall Co., Kentucky, he was the son of the late Arthur Scillion and the late Alva (Newton) Scillion.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Maxine (McGregor) Scillion of Symsonia, KY; son, Kevin Scillion, his wife Lesa of Rives, TN, daughter, Jennifer Jordan of Symsonia, KY; and 2 grandchildren, Brett and MiKayla Scillion of Rives, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Bro. Joel Frizzell and Bro. Gary Frizzell officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
