Mr. Joe W. Lovett, age 84, of Benton, KY passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Marshall Co. Hospital E. R. in Benton, KY. He worked for the Marshall Co. road department and was a member of Hamlet Baptist Church.
He was born on Monday, February 11, 1935, he was the son of the late Joe Lovett and the late Nellie (Thompson) Lovett.
Surviving is his wife Betty Jean (Weatherford) Lovett; sons, Carl Lovett, wife Linda of Benton, KY, Dennis Lovett, wife Donya of Benton, KY and Darrell Lovett, wife Leah of Murray, KY; daughter, Darlene Cannon, husband Jay of Calvert City, KY.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Collier Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Hamlet Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Collier Funeral Home located at 211 W. 5th. St. Benton, KY 42025.
