Mrs. Garvie Josephine Robinson, 96, of Murray, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Spring Creek Health Care.

Mrs. Robinson was born on December 29, 1922 in Murray, KY to the late Will and Nellis Theobold Williams.  She was an avid quilter, as well as a great cook. She worked for many years at Sammons Bakery in Murray.  Mrs. Robinson was a member of Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, those preceding her in death include her husband, J.D. Robinson; three brothers, Fred Williams, Bill Williams, Buddy Williams; a sister, June Hopkins and one grandson, Michael Wayne Swift.

Those she lovingly leaves behind include a son, Jimmy Dan Robinson (Carol) of Sedalia, KY; three daughters, Marilyn Swift (Harold) of Murray, Reta Hancock (Fred) of Union City, TN; Cindy Garrett (David) of Benton, KY; seven grandchildren, Trina Swift Lasater (Dayton), Donna Swift Ashworth (Steve), Christa Hancock Inmon (Ty), Heather Hancock, Lorie Robinson Fulton (Jay), Miranda Jo Robertson (Paul); Mandi Robinson Sanderson (Keith); 13 great grandchildren, Amy Ross Pervine (Trevor), Emily Lasater Ashton (Michael), Josh Lasater (Mandy); Austin Ashworth (Kristin), Brandon Ashworth, William Tyler Inmon, Audrey Marie Inmon, Aspen May, Hamilton May, Vivian May, Noah Fulton, Lila Fulton, Ryder Hyde and six great great grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Robinson is set for 2 PM on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray.  Fred Hancock and Jim Fulton will officiate.  Burial will follow at Scotts Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steve Ashworth, Brandon Ashworth, Austin Ashworth, Ty Inmon, Hamilton May, Trevor Pervine.  Honorary pallbearers include, Tyler Inmon, Seth Bell and Casey Bell.

The family will receive visitors from 11 am - 2 pm on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Project Heart, 2934 Sidco Drive, Suite 110, Nashville, TN 37204 in honor of her great great grand daughter, Addi Pervine.  Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home or you can donate at www.projectheart.org.
