Wilma Dean Hammonds, 75, formerly of Lyon County died at 6:00 PM Saturday, September 5, 2015 at her daughters residence in Sylva, NC.
Mrs. Hammonds was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Ledbetter.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Hammonds of Smithland; one daughter, Billie “Susie” Franklin of Sylva, NC; one brother, Malcom Ritter of Lakeland, FL; two half brothers, David Ritter of Princeton, Sonny Harper of Eddyville; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Hammonds; parents, Rosco Ritter and Glenna (Haney) Harper; one son, Paul Hammonds; two brothers; 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at The Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of Ledbetter with Rev. Judy Warran officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Grand Rivers.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at the church.
