Alice Woods Bryant, age 82, of Benton, passed away at 8:10 P.M. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Alice was born in Marshall County on September 26, 1937 to the late Joe Lawrence and Eudella (Penney) Woods. She was a member of Hamlet Missionary Baptist Church. Alice was retired from Mattel and also worked at Marshall County Coop. She loved flower gardening, decorating, collecting tea cups and cleaning. She adored her great- granddaughters and her family.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William E. Bryant of Benton; her granddaughter, Kara (Derek) Hamby of Benton; grandson, Aaron (Courtney) Holley of Benton; daughter-in-law, Karon (Lendell) Holley of Benton; three sisters, Laneda Kay (Ray) Turner of Benton, Janice Gaines of Benton, and Jody Bratcher of Benton; two brothers, Bobby (Linda) Woods of Benton and William (Benetta) Woods of Benton; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Lia Hamby; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Joe Ralph Bryant and brother-in-law, Paul Gaines.
A graveside service for Alice Bryant will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Dunn Cemetery with Rev. Jack Studie and Rev. Glenn Cope officiating.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr until 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
