Arlie “Randall” Lynn, 84, went to be with the Lord peacefully on February 21, 2020, with his family by his side. Randall was born on July 27, 1935, in Paducah, Kentucky and lived here his entire life. He loved singing, playing his guitars, gardening, birdwatching, crossword and jigsaw puzzles and drinking coffee at his favorite restaurants. But most of all Randall loved his family.

Randall is survived by his wife of 64 long years, Zannie Wimpee Lynn of Paducah, his son Randall Lee Lynn, of Wickliffe, his daughter Karen Lynn Thiel and husband Randall of Paducah, and daughter Nancy Lynn Brandstetter and husband Chip of Kevil; four grandchildren, Bradley “Brad“ Lynn, Dustin Lynn and wife Tami, Meagan Hess and husband Anthony, and Karli Harmon all of Paducah; 4 great-grandchildren, one sister, Alice Roof (Paul), one brother, Louis Lynn (Sandy) and several nieces and nephews.   

Randall was preceded in death by his father Arlie “Doc” Lynn, his mother Evelyn “Irene” Lynn his brothers Freddie Lynn, Frankie Lynn, James Avery Lynn, Ray Lynn, his sister, Kay Lynn, and one grandson, Brandon Lee Lynn.

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Lindsey’s Funeral Home in Paducah, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the of the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Paducah.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Parkview Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided him.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Olivet Baptist Church in Paducah, Kentucky.
