Billy Walker, age 78, passed away at 2:18 a.m. Sunday September 15, 2019 at his home on Kentucky Lake. Billy attended Lone Oak High School and was retired from UPS with 30 years of service and 26 years of Safe Driving. Billy loved his home on the lake and enjoyed fishing, taking care of his yard, being on his golf cart to keep up with happenings in the neighborhood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Janet Gaffeney Walker; one daughter, Sherry (Tim) Bertram of Paducah and one son, Carl Walker of Paducah; two grandchildren, Victoria Bertram, Knoxville, TN and Tanner Bertram, Nashville, TN; mother-in-law, Ruby Lyles of Reidland; sister-in-law, Geneva Walker, Paducah and two nieces.
Preceding in death were his parents, Floyd & Mary Alice Hall Walker and one brother, Jimmy Walker.
Services will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Tim Bertram and Rev. Frank Queen officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 12:00 noon until service time at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
