Bob was born on Friday, July 19,1929 in Greeneville, TN. He grew up in the country and learned about hard work by getting up early to milk the cows and farming tobacco.  After honoring his promise to his mother to obtain his high school diploma he set off for life in the big city of Detroit MI.  where he lived in his aunt’s boarding house and worked in the automotive industry.

Life in Michigan was interrupted by a call to serve his country in the Korean Conflict. He was inducted into the U.S. Army on January 10,1951 and stationed in Korea for 2 years.  Sergeant Bobby Click received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army on November 30, 1956.

After his service in Korea, Bob returned to life in MI. where his persistent aunt encouraged him to come to church.  There he spied a lovely young woman singing in the choir and persuaded his aunt to arrange an introduction.  Bob and Barbara dated for 4 years and married on June 28, 1958 at the church where they met.  They raised their two daughters in Michigan where Bob worked for 27 years as a licensed insurance agent with National Life/AIG Insurance Company.  After retiring from the insurance business he had a second career with Dreisbach and Sons where he sold cars for 9 years and fulfilled a childhood dream of owning a Cadillac.

Upon retirement Bob and Barbara moved to the Kenlake area where Barbara had been raised.  They became members of Union Ridge Baptist Church where Bob served as the Outreach Director.  They were married for 50 years.
