Mr. J.T. Bell, age 87 of Symsonia, KY passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Lourdes Hospital E.R. in Paducah, KY.
Born Wednesday, January 16, 1929 in McCracken Co., KY, he was the son of the late Tolen Bell and the late Novella (Alexander) Bell. He was the husband of the late Earlene (Wallace) Bell. He worked over 30 years at Modine Manufacturing in Paducah, KY and with Florsheim Shoe in Paducah, KY. A lifetime musician, he was an active member of the Jackson Purchase Friends of Bluegrass. He was a member of the New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, Benton, KY.
He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are his daughters, Suzetta Badgett, husband Earl of Symsonia, KY and Maretta Agee, husband David of West Paducah, KY, one brother, Dwain Bell of Paducah, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brother, Frank Bell, and sister, Nell Howard.
Graveside services will be Friday, June 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wallace Cemetery in Symsonia, KY. Rev. Mike Littrell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow the service.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Wallace Cemetery Fund, 2391 Oak Level - Elva Road, Symsonia, KY 42082.
