Mrs. Lerlene Henson, age 93 of Benton, KY passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Benton, KY.
Born Wednesday, September 12, 1923 in Marshall Co., KY, she was a member of the Union Ridge Baptist Church and was retired from the B and W Laundry in Benton, KY.
Surviving are two daughters, Janice Kay Hamlet Aden, husband Del of Benton, KY, Carol Burkhart of Benton, KY, two sons, James Louis Henson of Benton, KY, Ricky Joe Henson, Fiance' Jenna of Benton, KY, three sisters, Lorene Tubbs of Benton, KY, Irene Koon of Benton, KY, Donna Rudolph of Benton, KY, Grandchildren: Mitchel Hamlet, Michael Henson, Brad Henson, Hollie Williams, Melissa Henson, Cheyenne Walker, Donald Lamb, David Burkhart, Nancy Gill, Ruthann Triebull and Gracie Slagel. Great-Grandchildren; Kayla Bearden, Kelcee Hamlet, Riley Hamlet, Whitney Eakes, Peyton Henson, Kyle Henson, Kaylee Henson, Shannon Boss, Dylan Jones, Sierra Jones, Keagan Peyton and several step great-grandchildren. Fourteen great great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Naud Kirk and Perlie Rena (Greer) Kirk, her first husband, Gaylon Henson and her second husband, James Coplen, two brothers, Golden Kirk and James Richard Kirk, son-in-law, David Burkhart.
A Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. George Culp and Rev. Jack Kee will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Union Ridge Cemetery in the Aurora Community.
The family will receive friends after 5:00 PM Monday, December 12, 2016, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
