Roy Winston Jr.

Mr. Roy Winston, Jr., 54, of Murray, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Roy was born on June 19, 1965 in Union City, TN.  Mr. Winston proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during Desert Storm and was a semi owner/operator. More than anything he loved his wife of 30 years, Michelle, as well as his daughter, Amanda and his grandchildren, Emeory, Elijah and Emelia.  He enjoyed collecting and shooting guns and fishing with his dad and grandfather at Reelfoot Lake.  

Those left to remember him include his father, Dr. Roy Winston, Sr., and wife, Dorothy; his beloved wife, Michelle; daughter, Amanda Nicole Staley and husband Raymond of Ft. Eustis, VA; three grandchildren, Emeory, Elijah and Emelia Staley and a sister, Autumn Garrigus of Union City, TN.

The funeral service with military honors will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray.  Sammy Cunningham will officiate and burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.  Pallbearers include Emeory Staley, Raymond Staley, Mike Walker, Landon Houk, Cody Thorn and Trevor Wallace.

His family will receive visitors from 12 pm - 2 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Heritage Chapel.
