Allen Reese McCracken, 77, of Gilbertsville, KY, passed away at 9:45 pm Sunday, November 19, 2017 at his home.
Allen was born in Paris, KY on June 4, 1940 to Earl and Thelma McCracken. The day after he retired from his employment in sales, he went to work for the Fayette County Senior Citizens Center in Lexington, KY, where he enjoyed assisting the elderly. He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Benton, KY.
Mr. McCracken is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah Kay Womack McCracken; his daughter, Allison Haley McCracken; his brother, Terry McCracken and wife Sharon.
Mr. McCracken was preceded in death by his parents, Earl McCracken and Thelma Kenny McCracken.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah, with Rev. Kim Morrison officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm, at the Funeral Home.
