James A. Kohler, age 61, of Paducah, KY, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Baptist Health Paducah.
James was born on February 4, 1957 to the late Edward and Mary Anna Campbell Kohler. He was a former CPA for the state of Tennessee. James enjoyed classic TV shows like "Married with Children" and "The Andy Griffith Show" and loved music with some of his favorite artist being Jethro Tull and Joe Cocker. He played almost every instrument, refereed local wrestling, and covered the walls at his home with the autographs that he had collected.
His passion was wrestling, and James used that passion to establish himself as a professional wrestler in the WWF under the name "Mr. Wrestling II." He wrestled the likes of Hulk Hogan and befriended Dusty Rhodes before injury prematurely ended his career.
James will be remembered by those he loved as an eccentric man with varied taste, and a man who was very intelligent, yet silly.
He is survived by his daughter, Alicia Stokes and fiancé, Lyman Deal of Humble, TX; his sister, Mary Beth Buffaloe and husband, Robert of Columbia, MO; and two grandsons, Jaden Stokes and Xander Stokes.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
