James Hart, 74, of Paducah went home to be with the Lord on Monday December 15, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Hart was the former co-owner of B&H Plumbing Company. He was a dedicated member and deacon at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church for fifteen years. He also served in the US Army during the Berlin crisis. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Desta Hart of Paducah; one son, Jimmy (Melissa) Hart of Hickory; one daughter, Terri (Sheldon) Ellington of Boaz; one sister, Barbara Ouellette of Paducah; four grandchildren, Amandi Garbrough, Dustin Taylor, Ethan Hart, Katie Hart; and three great-grandchildren, Layne Garbrough, Charlee Roberts, and Nolan Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Aubrey Hart and Katie Griffith Hart; one brother, John Robert Hart; and one sister, Anne Smith.
Funeral will be at 1:00pm on Friday December 19, 2014 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Ivey officiating.
Friends may call from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
