Martha Sills Swanson, 88, of Paducah, KY passed away at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Metropolis Nursing Home in Metropolis, IL. She was a retired school teacher for the Hamilton School District in Hamilton, OH. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah, Paducah Woman’s Club, Delphic Literacy Club, Western Baptist Hospital Auxiliary and she taught Sunday School in the nursing home.
She is survived by her brothers, Rev. Terry Sills of Paducah, KY and Joe Douglas Sills of Florida; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Terry Louis Sills and Trentie Waller Sills.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Mt. Kenton Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Sills officiating.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
