Michael Crittenden Stewart, 71, of Paducah, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, IL.
Michael was born in Paducah, KY on May 6, 1947 and was a graduate of St. Mary High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Michael was a lover of history which developed into an admiration for antiques, eventually owning Michael Stewart Antiques. In addition, Michael had a great interest in clothing, sometimes even describing the history behind a certain pattern. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Surviving are four sisters, Melinda (Mack) Page, Jennifer Bryar, Katie (Dennis) Stokes, and Sally (Lloyd) Moore; nieces and nephews, Matt and Jessica Bryar, Josh Ryan, Rebecca and Wes Davenport, Stanton and Kathleen Stokes, Shelly and Anthony Shumaker, Eric and Tracy Stewart, Collin and Andrea Stewart; and sister-in-law, Martha Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Stewart Jr. and June Graham Stewart; and two brothers, Peter Stewart and Patrick Stewart.
The family would like to send their gratitude to the staff of Southgate for the love and care they gave to Michael.
Memorial services will be held at 7pm Thursday evening, May 10, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services with visitation beginning at 5pm Thursday. Graveside services will be held at 10:30am Friday morning, May 11, 2018 at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
