Carol Susan Bachuss, age 58, of Paducah, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 12:00 am at her home. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK on November 23, 1954 to J P and Audrey Wright.
“Suzy” was a graduate of Paducah Community College School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Lourdes Hospital, where she spent most of her time in the pediatric department. She loved Lourdes Hospital and was greatly fulfilled by her nursing career. Suzy served from 1982-1993 in the United States Army Reserve, where she achieved the rank of First Lieutenant before her honorable discharge from her MASH unit. She was a twenty year breast cancer survivor and immensely proud of her only son Christopher, who followed her footsteps and also became a nurse. In her last years, her favorite activities were reading, spending time with her family and loving her two grandchildren, Amelia and Tenzing.
She is survived by her son, Chris Bachuss and his wife Mareeka, of Franklin, TN; her sister, Shelley Yates and husband Bob, of Indianapolis, IN; her brother, Chuck Wright, of Paducah and grandchildren, Amelia and Tenzing Bachuss.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J P Wright Jr. and Edna Audrey Kaelson Wright.
Visitation for Ms. Bachuss will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 11:30-1:00 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. A Memorial Service will follow at the Funeral Home at 1:00 pm. Rev Jamie Broome will officiate.
