An 8-run 4th inning helped the Paducah Chiefs pull away from the Owensboro Oilers, on their way to an 11-4 win Sunday night in game 3 of the Ohio Valley League tournament's quarterfinals. With the win, the Chiefs advanced to the semifinal round, where they will face Dubois County in a best-of-three series, beginning tonight in Dubois County.

Keegan Breese went 2-for-5 Sunday night for Paducah, finishing with 2 RBI. Nick Shumaker was 1-for-4 with 2 RBI. Reid Pope was 2-for-4 with 1 RBI and Tate Mathis went 2-for 5 with 1 RBI.

The Oilers, who committed 6 errors, were led by Cody Jackson, who finished 2-for-2. Tyler DiPatri was 2-for-4. Kirk Kirkland finished 1-for 3 with 1 RBI.

Grant Williams picked up the win for the Chiefs. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts. Jacob Curry took the loss for the Oilers. He surrendered 9 runs on 7 hits.

The Chiefs (19-21) and Bombers (29-11) meet tonight in Dubois County at 6:05 pm. Game 2 will be at Brooks Stadium on Tuesday night. Game 3, if necessary, will be in Dubois County on Wednesday.

All Chiefs home games start at 6:30. Tickets are only five dollars, and chair seats for ten dollars.
