Former Kentucky basketball coach Billy Gillispie is making news again for all the wrong reasons.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the National Junior College Athletic Association has ruled that Gillispie used an ineligible player this past season at Ranger College in Texas. The player, Joshua Simmons, played in every game this season and averaged 11.4 points and nine rebounds.

Gillispie led the Rangers to a 31-7 record.

The school is appealing the NJCAA's decision. If the ruling holds, Ranger would have to forfeit all 31 wins.

Gillispie, who replaced Tubby Smith at Kentucky, led the Wildcats to an 18-13 record in 2007-08 and went 22-14 in 2008-09. He was fired after the season and replaced by John Calipari.
