Bonnafon, a true freshman from Louisville, Ky., led the Cardinals to a dramatic 31-28 win over Notre Dame on Saturday. A product of Trinity High, Bonnafon accounted for three touchdowns in the Cardinals' second-straight win.
Bonnafon rushed for 35 yards and two scores while throwing for 180 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 31-28 road win at Notre Dame. He scored the first two touchdowns of the game on runs of eight and 12 yards to put the Cardinals ahead 14-3.
Making only his fourth career start, Bonnafon tossed a 21-yard touchdown pass to DeVante Parker.
