University of Louisville redshirt freshman placekicker Blanton Creque was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Specialist and Co-Rookie of the Week after his performance in the Cardinals' 54-13 win over NC State on Saturday.

Creque set a school record for points by a kicker with 18 in the win over the Wolfpack at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The Shelbyville, Ky., native tied a school record by connecting on four fields and was a perfect 6-of-6 on points-after-touchdown, breaking the mark of 16 points set by Art Carmody in 2006 and 2007

Taking over as the starting kicker last weekend, Creque connected on field goals of 27, 33, 24 and 27 to improve to an ACC-best 8-of-9 on field goal attempts and 18-of-19 on PATs.
