Marshall County's girls fired a team total of 340 and are tied for 4th after Tuesday's first round of the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac State Golf Championships at Bowling Green Country Club.

The Lady Marshals are tied with Sacred Heart Academy at 52 over. Lexington Christian sits in first place with a team total of 313, 20 shots better than second-place South Warren (333). North Hardin is third at 339.

Lexington Christian's Laney Frye and Boyd County's Olivia Hensley are tied for the individual lead. Both shot 3 under 69s on Tuesday. Mattie Neely of Madison Central is third after a round of 72.

McCracken County's Jessica Stephens is tied for 6th after a 5-over 77. Marshall County's Megan Hertter and Graves County's Ellie West are tied for 16th at 7 over.

The second and final round starts on Wednesday morning.
