Paducah Tilghman High School has named Steve Duncan as its new head football coach. A formal announcement is set for Friday at 9 am.

Duncan replaces Kurt Barber and is Tilghman's fourth head coach in the last five years. Barber resigned earlier this month after serving as Tilghman's head coach for only one season.

Duncan's last head coaching stop was at Logan County, where he resigned in 2015. Prior to that, he served as Murray High's head coach from 2008-2013, where the Tigers went 63-16 with two Class 2A state semifinal game appearances.

Duncan served as the defensive coordinator at Lone Oak High School under coach Jack Haskins. He also was an assistant coach at LaRue County and Fort Knox.
