The St. Thomas More Knights of Columbus Divine Mercy Council #11591 will host "Funeral For A Gangster", a murder mystery dinner theater event, on Saturday, June 14th at the St. Thomas More Parish Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m.
The parish hall will transform to "Ruby's Place", a 1920s speakeasy. You'll attend the funeral of Vito "The Gut" Marzetti, a noted mobster gunned down by an unknown assailant. During the service, an argument between Vito's three grown children and his second (and much younger) wife over Vito's secret locker of cash. It will be up to you to solve two mysteries: the person who set up Vito, and the location of the locker key.
Your chef, "Pasta Bob" Hoppmann, is promising a delicious Italian dinner that includes toasted raviolis, your choice of three different types of spaghetti, Pasta House salad, and Spumoni ice cream. Beverages include tea, lemonade and water.
You're invited to dress as 1920s gangsters and flappers. Prizes will be awarded to whoever correctly solves the mystery, and for the best dressed couple. There will also be silent auction items and a 50/50 raffle.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the charitable contributions made by Divine Mercy Council #11591 for our community. Tickets are $35 a person or $70 a couple. Tickets will be for sale before and after Saturday evening and Sunday morning masses. Or you may RSVP your tickets and pay the night of the show. The deadline is Sunday, June 8th.
