Arraignment held for Murray man charged with having child sexual abuse materials

Arraignment was held Tuesday for a Murray man accused of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse materials.

The Murray Sentinel reported 25-year-old Aiden Santos was arrested at his Opportunity Drive residence last Thursday and charged with 10 counts of possession and 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under age 12.

Santos' arrest came following an undercover investigation by Kentucky State Police's Internet Crime Against Children Task Force.

The investigation began after an unidentified social media company reported an account belonging to Santos had the materials.  Investigators went to Santos' home and seized multiple electronic devices.

Bond in the case was set at $10,000.  Santos is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing March 11th at 9 am.
