Training begins for the city of Paducah's new radio upgrade

Training is underway for the city of Paducah's emergency radio upgrade.

Paducah Police said in a social media post Tuesday Train the Trainer sessions began to prepare local agencies for the new L3Harris P25 radio system.

Sessions included:  How the new P25 system and talk groups operate, hands-on practice with the new radios and proper use and basic care.

The training ensures teams are ready well before the system goes live and marks another major milestone for the City of Paducah and McCracken County as the upgrade project stays on track.
