Benton woman injured and charged after crash

A Benton woman was injured and then charged after a single-vehicle crash.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, 51-year-old Jennifer Heflin of Benton was involved in a crash along I-69 on Friday. Deputies determined that Heflin was under the influence of substances at the time of that crash. A computer check also revealed that she was operating on a DUI-suspended license.

Heflin was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.

She was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of substances, driving on a DUI-suspended license, no insurance, and no interlock device.
