A 78-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night after he led deputies on a pursuit from Tennessee through Calloway County and into Graves County.
At around 6 p.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office notified Calloway County E-911 that they were pursuing a vehicle that had entered Calloway County in Hazel. Calloway deputies took up the pursuit, which continued through Murray and onto Highway 121. Deputies successfully deployed spike strips just over the Graves County line, deflating the vehicle’s front tires.
The vehicle came to a stop without any serious injuries reported. The driver, Harry Moody of Paris, was taken into custody and transported to the Calloway County Jail.
He was charged with felony wanton endangerment and fleeing/evading police.
