Body parts accidentially delivered to Hopkinsville home

A Hopkinsville woman who was expecting a shipment of medicine got quite a surprise Wednesday night.

WKDZ reported Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel as indicating the package contained arms and fingers instead.  Daniel said the incident was accidental and involved an airline company, a freight company and a courier.

Daniel returned the body parts to the morgue where they would be given back to the carrier for delivery to the proper destination. 

Daniel added body parts are sometimes shipped for transplants and research purposes, but it was not known what this shipment was being used for.
