Construction of new pickleball courts at Noble Park will begin on Tuesday.

The city of Paducah annouced Friday that an eight-court pickleball facility will be constructed across from the Noble Park tennis courts on the east side of the park’s inner roadway.

The concrete for the courts will require a 28-day curing process before fencing and other amenities can be added. The project is expected to be completed in early August.

During construction, crews will work to maintain the public’s access to the roadways inside Noble Park, but there may be brief road closures to movem concrete trucks and other large pieces of equipment through the park.

Crews will be using the parking areas on the east side of the lake and near Shelter 1 for work vehicles.

Meanwhile, the ongoing work to improve the outer loop roadway and stormwater drainage on the east side of the park will be completed next week, and soil will be seeded early this fall.
