Friday crash in Mayfield sent two people to the hospital

A Friday crash in Mayfield sent three people to the hospital.

The crash happened in the southbound lane of the Dick Castleman Bypass at Charles Drive. Mayfield Police said that a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Dawn Barnett of Murray reportedly collided with two other vehicles that had slowed down to turn onto Charles Drive. The other two vehicles were a pickup driven by 28-year-old Jessica Hurst of Mayfield and a van driven by 54-year-old Rachel Jones of Arlington.

The collision between Barnett’s vehicle and Hurst’s caused the additional collision with the vehicle belonging to Jones. Jones was not injured in the crash; however, both Barnett and Hurst were taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries.
