Continuance issued in case of Murray man facing sexual abuse charges

A continuance was issued Tuesday in the case of a Murray man accused of sexually based offenses.

The Murray Ledger and Times reported Calloway Circuit Judge Andrea Moore made the continuance decision after hearing testimony in the case involving 45-year-old Phillip Doughty of Murray. 

Doughty is accused of first degree sodomy-victim under 12 and first degree sexual abuse-victim under 12.

Doughty was arrested in January, 2025.  The case is continued until next Tuesday as numerous witnesses in the case are still remaining.
